PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost and to facilitate maintenance in a commodity sales management device. SOLUTION: A sum-up file by common transaction item 12 where a sales data sum-up area is generated by common transaction item which is previously set so as to unify the transaction items of at least two kinds of sales sum-up files 23(23a and 23b) being different in transaction item contents and also an item defining file 13 which sets and stores information for defining the correspondence relation of the transaction item of the sales sum-up file with the common transaction item of the sum-up file by common transaction item at every sales sum-up file kind are provided. When sales sum-up file data is collected from a commodity sale registering device 20, defining information corresponding to the kind of the sales sum-up file is read from the item defining file 13, sales sum-up file data is summed-up by the sum-up file by common transaction item 12 based on the defining information and a sales management report 11 is generated based on data summed-up by the sum-up file by common transaction item 12. |
