SELF-TRAVELING SHREDDER FOR CUTTING TIRES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-traveling type shredder fur cutting tires capable of cutting large-sized tires without requiring a high torque. SOLUTION: Revolving shafts 4b, 4c are provided with at least a pair of rotary cutters 4 axially mounted with plural pieces of blades 4a each formed to a ring shape. The blades 4a of the rotary cutters 4 making a pair are so combined that the blades 4a of the one rotary cutter 4 partly fit via microspacings between the blades 4a of the other rotary cutter 4. The outer peripheries of the respective blades 4a have pawls 4f which have shapes projecting outward and bite off the tires by being bitten into the tires. Water spraying nozzles 10 for spraying water to the cutting section G are disposed in the parts upper than the cutting section G consisting of the rotary cutters 4. The torque of a hydraulic motor for driving the rotary cutters 4 is set at 5 to 20t-m.
