PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of dealing with the correction of a road shape appropriately. SOLUTION: When a present position is deviated from a position in road data, the navigation device of a vehicle transmits the deviated position to a base station side. When correction data is transmitted from a vehicle side (S502 is Yes), the base station side corrects map data based on transmitted data (S516 and 514). Then, corrected map data is transmitted to the vehicle in response to a request from the vehicle side. Therefore, difference in shape is reported from the vehicle side to the base station side when road data is different from the actual road shape due to the repair of the road, etc., and the base station which receives the report corrects map data and transmits it to the vehicle side. |
