FIELD: electrical engineering; generators designed for use in atmospheres heated by hot parts of internal-combustion engines and in those laden with dust and oil fumes. SUBSTANCE: generator has stator, rotor, end shields, rectifier unit, as well as slip rings and brush gear installed in cavity insulated from other parts and assemblies; novelty is that insulated cavity is formed by end shield, self-contained air-supply shroud, brush gear case, and at least one annular collar.
