PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a precise electrophoresis or regulation of resolution and migrating speed with the same voltage, and use an existing electrophoretic tank as minigel by making both positive and negative electrodes attachable and detachable within an electrophoretic tank, and freely changing the distance between electrodes. SOLUTION: A protruding platform 2 is provided in the bottom center of a horizontal submarine electrophoretic tank 1, and an agarose gel 3 is placed thereon. A negative electrode 5 and a positive electrode 6 which consist of platinum wires are attachably and detachably provided near both the migrating directional ends on the bottom within the tank 1, and both the electrodes 5, 6 are connected to a negative electrode terminal 7 and a positive electrode terminal 8 in the upper part of the tank 1 through conductors 9. Both the negative and positive terminals 7, 8 are connected to power source terminals 11, 12 through through-holes bored in a lid 10 covering the opening of the tank 1, and a voltage is applied thereto by a dc power source 13. In electrophoresis, a sample is put in a sample groove 24 provided on the agarose gel 3 clipped in a buffer solution 4, and electrified. Thus, the distance between both the electrodes is freely changed to perform the regulation of resolution and migrating speed with the same voltage, and the existing electrophoretic tank can be used as minigel. |
