TEMPERATURE TYPE EXPANSION VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and the weight of an operation rod to operate opening and closing of the valve of a temperature type expansion valve with which an air-conditioning device is equipped. SOLUTION: A valve body 30 includes the body of a temperature type expansion valve having first and second passages 32 and 34. A rod member 316 of which a temperature sensitive rod 36f is composed is small shaft and drive movably forward and backward across a road 34 according to displacement of a diaphragm 36a of a power element part 36. The rod member 316 having a ratio between an outside diameter and an overall length being in a range of 17-28 is provided. The size and the weight of the whole of the valve are reduced without buckling against a stress exerted in an axial direction.
