PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor which has a simple constitution and never requests high accuracy of a rotor. SOLUTION: A rotor R in contact with the periphery of an annular piezoelectric ceramic 22 consists of a part where a plurality of rotor pieces 25 are coupled integrally by a coupling member 26, and each rotor piece is provided with a recess in the direction orthogonal to the rotational direction. Moreover, this ultrasonic motor is provided with an elastic member 27 outside the rotor R, so as to allow each rotor piece to apply much pressure toward the periphery of the annular piezoelectric ceramic. Guide plates 28 and 29 rotate in the same direction through the guide of the rotor. The teeth 29b of a gear are made at the outside periphery of one guide plate. |
