PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate busy feeling of acceleration/desceleration which can be generated when a vehicle enters from a flat road to an ascent. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a control unit 19 which cometely releases a lock-up clutch of a torque converter 4 when the ascent traveling of a vehicle is detected. When the lock-up clutch is not cometely released and a slip control is performed when a vehicle travels on an ascent, a torque increasing action of the torque converter 4 works more than the accel operation of a driver by driving load caused by the ascent and the driver has unnatural feeling. By completely releasing the lock-up clutch, the lowering of the feeling can be suppressed. |
