FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: grinding apparatus has hopper and grinding chamber. Squash and roots are charged into hopper and fall by gravity into grinding chamber. Depending on size, product is captured by respective ring and ground by teeth on rotating shaft. Grinding teeth cooperate with slots in vertical wall. Silage is additionally ground in adjacent chamber and further directed onto impeller to be mixed with ground roots. Ready mixture is discharged from chamber. Vertical wall serving shear plate prevents slippage in horizontal plane. EFFECT: increased efficiency in grinding and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg øøø1
