PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a range hood fan by a method wherein a supporting means having a simple structure for supporting a cover means within a flat type hood body may also act as an oil receptor means. SOLUTION: This fan is constructed such that its lower end is abutted against an inner surface section around a rising flange 51 arranged circumferentially around a lower surface opening edge of a flat type hood member 1 so as to support a cap-like hood cover 5. Waste gas with its oil and fat substances being adsorbed and removed by a filter 8 arranged at a top surface 15 of the cap-like hood cover 5 is discharged out of a house through an air suction hole 21 and a blower 2 and then the oil and fat substances adhered to the cap-like hood cover 5 are recovered into an oil pack 6 assured between the lower end of the hood cover 5 and the raised flange 51 along the surface of the hood cover 5. |
