PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display visual information having excellent visibility without obstructing optical recording even in a medium provided with recording surfaces on the whole front and rear surfaces by printing with a coloring agent composed of a dye or a pigment transmitting near infrared ray. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium is constituted so as to laminate a printed layer 1, a transparent substrate 3, a rugged layer 4, an optical recording layer 2, an adhesive layer 5 and a backing base material 6 successively from the incident side of light for recording and reproducing. The dye as the coloring agent of the printed layer 1 is one having no absorption of light having 700-1000 nm wave length, which is selected from an azo base, an anthraquinone base, an indigo base, a phthalocyanine base, a carbonyl base, a quinone imine base, a methin base, quinoline base, a nitro base or the like. The printed layer is formed by applying a coating material dispersed in an urethane resin to have 5 μm thickness by silk printing to display the visual information such as an arrow for inserting direction, a warning in handling or the like. |
