PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device convenient for a user, capable of displaying residual toner, the number of residual printable sheets, etc., when the remaining amount of developer in a developing unit becomes a prescribed value or below. SOLUTION: A table for representing the relationship between the residual toner and a residual detection output pulse width by a residual toner detecting means is previously prepared and the residual toner is estimated by referring to the table, based on a residual detection output pulse by the residual toner detecting means, to issue a warning of 'the residual toner is a little', when the amount of toner is a specific one. After that, whenever printing is executed, the number of the residual printable sheets for a standard image with the residual toner is calculated and the value obtained by the calculation is displayed on a printer or a personal computer. |
