PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of a sensitizer for electrophotography that is able to sharply reduce the probability of causing a misjudgment, in a judgment of whether this electrophotographic sensitizer is good or not. SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photosensitive body elementary pipe 1 rotated at a constant speed, illuminating it with a linear irradiation light 3 from a light source 2, and a reflected light 4 out of this elementary pipe 1 is grasped by a photoelectric transfer type image pickup mechanism 5, an electric signal 6 is taken out, and this electric signal 6 is inputted into an analog-digital converter 7, taking out digital data or a digitalized electric signal. These digital data taken out are numerically processed by a computer 8, and then an L value showing brightness or one of the measured values of a color tone and a variation range and a differential coefficient of the L value are calculated, and thus a fact of whether the elementary pipe 1 is good or not is judged by the size of this L value and the variation range and the differential coefficient of the L value. |
