<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a raw material for a temporary denture baseplate for a denture aiming at temporary use of a therapeutic artificial denture, etc., and provide an extremely simple process for replacing the temporary denture baseplate with a baseplate material for long term use. SOLUTION: This raw material for denture baseplate consists of a liquid formulation mainly comprising a radically polymerizable methacrylate, a plasticizer, and a powder formulation mainly comprising a (co)polymer of methacrylates, a radical polymerization initiator, and the glass-transition temperature of the cured product of the mixture of this liquid formulation and powder formulation is in the range of 50-90 deg.C. The temporary denture baseplate made from this material is embedded in plaster in a flask, heated at 60-100 deg.C after curing of the plaster, the flask is opened, the softened baseplate is picked, the raw material of the baseplate for long term use is filled in the plaster mold to prepare a new artificial denture.</p> |
