<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new water-soluble metallic compound, comprising a specified organometallic compound for forming an electron release element, having properties of decomposing at a high temperature and rapidly completing the decomposition and useful for the production, etc., of the electron release element used for an apparatus for forming images. SOLUTION: This new organometallic compound is represented by the formula [R1 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R2 , R3 , R6 and R7 are each H or a 1-2C alkyl; R2 and R6 or R3 and R7 may be bound; R4 and R5 are each H or an alkylene; R4 and R5 may each be a cyclic group alone or bound to form the cyclic group; (R2 ) (R3 )N-R4 or R5 -N(R6 )(R7 ) or both may each be a cyclic group; (R2 )(R3 )N-R4 - R5 or R4 -R5 -N(R6 )(R7 ) may each be annularly bound; (m) and (n) are each 1-4; M is a metal] [e.g. palladium acetate-bis(propylenediamine)] and is used for forming an electron release element capable of forming an electron release part 5 of the electron release element equipped with the electron release part 5 between opposite electrodes 2 and 3 on a substrate 1.
