PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of surely preventing the leakage of a magnetic developer from gap parts formed in bearings for a developer container to turnably pivotally support both end parts in the axial direction of a developer carrier formed to a cylindrical shape. SOLUTION: In the developing device for preventing the leakage of magnetic toner T from the gap parts formed in the bearings of a toner container which turnably pivotally support a developing sleeve 2, the magnetization distribution in the axial direction of the sleeve 2 and the winding positions on the outer periphery of the sleeve 2, of magnetic seal members 4 are set to magnetize them, so that the density of a magnetic flux is kept about 75 mT in the first region between two magnetic seal members 4 of the outer periphery of the sleeve 2 and attenuated from 75 mT, as it goes to the end parts of the sleeve 2, in the second regions of the residual outer periphery. |
