摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve the reproduced signal intensity of the magneto- optical recording medium which has a magnetic layer in multi-layered structure and transfers, expands, and reproduces recording magnetic domains. SOLUTION: The magneto-optical recording medium has three layers, i.e., an amplification layer A, an exchange force control layer C12 or switching layer S12 , and a recording layer R2 on its base body surface side; and a magnetic domain is formed at R2 by magneto-optical recording and transferred to A1 by laser beam irradiation and reproducing magnetic field application at the time of reproduction to form a transfer magnetic domain, and the transfer magnetic domain at A1 is expanded. In this case, A1 does not have compensation temperature above room temperature and then TcA1 <TcC12 or TcS12 is higher than the room temperature and TcS12 <TcA1 , where TcA1 is the Curie temperature of A1 , TcC12 is the Curie temperature of C12 , and TcS12 is the Curie temperature of S12 .
