A fastener for an item of clothing has two parallel straight sides joined to its first and second ends. These two ends are parallel to each other and have complementary profiles, the profile in the first end being convex, and the profile in the second end being concave. The fastener may alternatively be one in which each of the complementary profiles in the two parallel ends include alternating convex and concave sections. Also claimed is a machine for making the above fastener, comprising a material feed and a cutting device with a cutting profile matching those in the two fastener ends. |
