Sifting screen apparatus for e.g. plant material

An apparatus for sorting different size objects, e.g. plant material and useful parts mixed up in it, utilises a horizontal screen (2) which is hung from spring components inside a motorised drum (1). A mechanism (9-11) is provided to move the drum backwards and forwards in at least one horizontal direction. The spring components used are endless elastic bands (5), preferably made from rubber, joined to the rubber fixtures (5A) which are secured to the drum.
