In the sieve periphery (12) is an outer edge (14), which prevents waste water running inwards under it. Its slots (13) are radially positioned and are also at right-angles to the direction of throughflow of the waste water. The long sides of the slots are angled to produce an increased water throughflow. In this way, the sieve separates hair and other solid particles on its upper side, whilst waste water runs downwards into the floor well. |
