PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a decrease in performance at the time of cooling or heating and refrigerant noise during operating by forming an outlet tube to an inlet tube in the case of a branch tube or an inlet tube to an outlet tube in the case of a confluent tube in a shape for branching or combining at a specific angle, and hence reducing pressure loss at a branching point or combining point. SOLUTION: In the case of branching by a Y-form pipe mounted in the heat exchanger, refrigerant input from an inlet tube 9a is separated at a branch part 9c, and separated to an output tube 9b. When an angleαformed between the inlet tube and the outlet tube is set to 90 degrees or more, flow from an inlet pipe can be smoothly branched. In case of combining, when flows of two directions are combined at a shallow angle, it becomes a smooth flow of the combining tube. Thus, pressure loss in the branching or combining of the exchanger is reduced, and hence an efficiency of the exchanger is improved. Thus, performance of cooling or heating is improved, and refrigerant noise at the time of operating can be reduced.
