摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image an object pick up and to conduct arithmetic processing at a high speed by providing plural switch elements that are connected between outputs of amplifying pixels and corresponding read lines to the device, so as to allow a product sum arithmetic operation of a pixel section of a solid-state image-pickup element itself through the simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: Sources of amplification elements QAj of pixels arranged in the vertical direction, that is, in the column direction are connected to vertical read lines VLj of each column via inter-drain-source circuits of control switch elements QGj. The vertical read lines VLj are connected to horizontal read lines HL, via horizontal read switch elements QHj. A horizontal scanning circuit activates plural horizontal read control signalsϕHj simultaneously and then synthesizes signals from plural vertical read lines VLj on the horizontal read lines HL. That is, signals from pixels of plural columns are synthesized on the horizontal read wires HL.
