PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable surface mounting of a high speed connector on a containing circuit board by a modularized connector which adopts plural conductive terminal traces, by providing a conductive member possible to be deformed in an interface of a circuit board to which the connector is mounted. SOLUTION: Plural circuits or signal traces 16 are formed on the first surface of a printed circuit board 12. A terminal such as a contact terminal 20 is mounted on the first end part of each trace 16. A circuit board mounting terminal 22 is placed at the second end part of each trace 16. The circuit board mounting terminal 22 of a contact structural body has a compressible or deformable member 30 which is made of elastomer that is elastic material. A recessed part or a notch 36 is provided along a rim part 38 of the board 12 in the neighborhood of an end part of the trace 16. The compressible member 30 is received in the notch 36 and held by pushing and fitting and the like, and a part of the member extends beyond the rim part 38. By this construction, a mounting interface with excellent coplanarity can be obtained. |
