PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking management system which reduces the installing space of a device, improves parking efficiency and surely collects parking fees. SOLUTION: CCD cameras Cin and Cout are separately installed at entrance and exit paths of a parking lot, and a vehicle number recognizing device 10 recognizes the vehicle number of a parking vehicle based on images of each CCD camera Cin and Cout. An entering vehicle number that is recognized is stored together with an entrance time, an adjustment time and an adjustment amount in a parking table 22a of a fee adjusting device 20 and manages the exist of a parking vehicle in accordance with a leaving vehicle number that is recognized by the device 10 based on storage information of the table 22a. As for a parking vehicle which goes out without paying a parking fee, its illegal use information is stored in an unpaid table 22b. |
