PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly reflect the intention of a document by operating translation after converting a document into a fluctuated document corresponding to a proper period when a text to be fluctuated according to a period is present in a document. SOLUTION: In this machine translation device, an original document inputting part 11 inputs an original document to be translated. A storage medium 12 for processing translation stores a translation processing program. A secular change information recording part 17 preliminiarly stores fluctuated texts corresponding to plural periods including the present translation period for each text to be fluctuated. When a text to be fluctuated corresponding to a period is present in the original document inputted from the original document inputting part 11, a translation processing controlling part 13 judges the text preparation period while referring to the data of a table 16 for judging a period from the original document, changes the text to be fluctuated by extracting the fluctuated text corresponding to the period decided from the secular change information recording part 17 when the translation period including the text preparation period is decided, and translates the original document into desired language. |
