<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a delay time that is caused by a fluctuation absorptive buffer to an optimum value in accordance with the change of cell fluctuation which is brought about by the configuration change of a network and the increase and decrease of connections in an ATM cell delay fluctuation absorptive buffer control method. SOLUTION: This control method is provided with a cell arrival interval supervising part 11, a buffer controlling part 12, a buffer fluctuation supervising part 13, a cell buffer part 14 and a frame reproducing part 15, and the part 12 performs read control of the part 14 based on a maximum cell arrival interval time information from the part 11 and a minimum cell accumulation number information in the part 14. In the case of increasing delay at such a time, a dummy cell that corresponds to the part 15 is read, and in the case of reducing delay, cells accumulated in the part 14 are discarded in order of an old cell and a newer cell is read.</p> |
