PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely recognize each object by extracting the concentration distribution of a picture area corresponding to a label picture extracted by the binarization and labeling processing of a multilevel concentration picture obtained by image picking up plural objects. SOLUTION: Relating to an appearance inspecting device 1 of a BGA(ball grid array), a CPU 6 fetches and binarizes the picture of the BGA to be inspected, operates a labeling processing, and extracts the label picture of each soldered ball. Afterwards, the CPU 6 successively sets a circumscribed rectangle in each label picture. When it is judged that the size of the circumscribed rectangle is improper for any label picture, the concentration distribution of a picture area corresponding to the label picture is extracted on a multilevel concentration picture stored in a picture memory 4, and the number of the soldered balls included in the picture area is recognized. |
