<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment with superior reliability and workability by preventing data which are backup memory information from being destroyed. SOLUTION: This facsimile equipment is provided with a power supply monitor section 11 that monitors respectively a voltage of a battery 12 and of a main power supply 13 and selects a power supply path to a backup memory 8, depending on the state of main power application or the memory backup, an initializing discrimination means 4 that references data of a specific address of the memory 8 at the application of a main power supply and discriminates the necessity of initialization, and a memory initializing means 4a that executes the initialization, when the necessity is discriminated. Then an address for initialization discrimination of the memory 8 is set to an address other than a head address of the memory 8, so as to inhibit the use of the head address of the memory 8.</p> |
