PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar illuminant which excels in uniformity of the irradiation luminance, can dispense with the arrangement of dot patterns, etc., and excels in producibility, and provide a method of uniforming its luminance. SOLUTION: A back light A is equipped with a light source 10, reflecting board 20, diffusion plate 30, diffusion sheet 32, and lens sheet 40. The diffusion plate 30 does not have any dot patterns. The lens sheet 40 is laminated on the reflecting board 20, and the linear projection 42 on the lens sheet 40 extends parallel with the longitudinal direction of the light source 10. It may also be accepted that the lens sheet 40 is installed over the light source 10. |
