PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adapt the circuit to various processes such as positioning and character inspection by performing normalization correlation arithmetic by using specific equations. SOLUTION: As for a generated reference image and an image to be inspected, means values Pave, Plave, Phave, Rave, Rlave, and Rhave are obtained and the normalization correlation arithmetic is performed by using the equations. In the equations, Psa=Phave-Plave and Rsa=Rhave-Rlave. Here, Pave is the means value of density of all the pixels of the reference image, Plave the mean value of density of pixels having density less than Pave, and Phave the mean value of density of pixels having density more than Pave; and Rave the mean value of density of all the pixels of the image to be inspected, Rlave the mean value of density of pixels having density less than Rave, and Rhave the mean value of density of pixels having density more than Rave. Further, f(x) is a correlative value, R(x) the density value of each pixel of the image to be inspected, and K the number of the pixels of the reference image. |
