PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a partial excessive fixing by regulating the time from the time point when a pressure roller is brought into press contact with the heating roller to the time when the heating roller is allowed to start rotating, and the time from the time point when the rotation of the heating roller is stopped to the time when the pressure roller is separated to the approximately equal value. SOLUTION: As for this fixing device, the heating roller 1 is supported in rotationally by receiving the driving power of a stepping motor 4. The pressure roller 2 is supported by tips of arm members 2b and 2c provided in swingingly with the fulcrum at the shaft 2a. A cam 5 is engaged with a side edge of the arm member 2b holding the pressure roller 2, the pressure roller 2 is brought into press contact and parted with respect to the heating roller 1 by turning the cam 5 by the stepping motor 6. Then, the time from the time when the heating roller 1 and the pressure roller 2 are brought into the crimping state to the time when the rotation of the heating roller 1 is started, and the time from the time when the rotation of heating roller 1 is stopped to when the heating roller 1 and the pressure roller 2 become to the non-crimping state is regulated to the short constant. |
