<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette device in which malfunction of a magnetic head transfer mechanism is eliminated. SOLUTION: A magnetic tape cassette device has a load mechanism 18, 19 for applying load to a magnetic tape cassette 21 from a take-out position to an operating position, and has a magnetic head mechanism 9, 12 for moving a magnetic head 8. In order to guarantee trouble-free operation of the magnetic head transfer mechanism, a latch means 13 is provided for latching the magnetic head transfer mechanism 9, 12, depending on the position of the load mechanism 18, 19.</p> |
