<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to detect the removal of a battery during charging by a simple structure using a few terminals. SOLUTION: A charger wherein a secondary battery pack 13 housing a secondary battery B can be disconnected from the main body is provided with a controller 11 for controlling the charging of the secondary battery B, a charging means 12 for supplying charging current to the secondary battery B by supplying a given control signal from the controller 11, and a switching means TR1 which, being inserted in a supply line of the specified control signal supplied from the controller 11 to the charging means 12, becomes an ON state when the secondary battery pack 13 is connected and becomes an OFF state when the secondary battery pack 13 is disconnected.</p> |
