The roller mechanism has a main body (10) with front and rear bearing surfaces. They are positioned above respective reception spaces for compression springs, coupled to front and rear rollers (40,50) via elastic elements. The rollers are enclosed by respective housings (20,30). Each housing is secured to the main body at the centre of the latter via a pair of clamp plates and a cooperating pivot pin.
