PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid dispensing device which can accurately discriminate dispensing amounts without receiving any influence from the surface tension of the surface, viscosity, etc., of a liquid. SOLUTION: A liquid dispensing device sucks up and dispenses a liquid contained in a container 190 by inserting a probe 182 into the liquid and, at the same time, discriminates that the front end of the probe 182 is in contact with the surface of the liquid in the container 190 by a capacitive method. A microcomputer 20 lowers the probe 182 by a descending amount Hd after a liquid level detecting and discriminating circuit 160 detects the surface level of the liquid and, when the descending amount of the surface level is H1 when the liquid is sucked up by a prescribed amount, raises the probe 182 by an ascending amount Hp which meets a relation, Hd>H1+Hp, after the suction is completed. When the liquid level detecting and discriminating circuit 160 can detect the surface level of the liquid after the probe 182 is raised, the microcomputer 20 discriminates that the liquid is sucked by the prescribed dispensing amount. |
