PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor element having a heater which is excellent in temperature raising property and secures sufficient quantity of air to be introduced into an air chamber while enabling efficiently manufacturing thereof and a manufacturing method of the heater used for the oxygen sensor element. SOLUTION: A heater 2 is built into an air chamber 100 to form an oxygen sensor element 1. The cross section of the heater 2 is roughly rectangular in shape. In the manufacturing of the heater 2, a ceramic green sheet is prepared and a plurality of heater patterns are formed by printing. Other sheets are laminated on the green sheet to build a laminate body. Then, the laminate body is cut to make an intermediate body, which then is baked by heat. |
