The scented post card (1) has an illustrated theme (2) on its front face (4a) and at least one active area (3) which releases a perfume when scratched. The active area has a scent pastille (5) formed by printing with an ink having sealed micro spheres formed by micro-encapsulation of a scent. The scent which is released corresponds to the theme of the postcard. The active area can be a printed zone with an area of between one half and three centimetres.
