摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and manufacturing method of a new liquid crystal display device capable of improving the brightness and contrast of display of a conventional liquid crystal display device by a method other than the method for improving the numerical aperture. SOLUTION: A ground layer 11 consisting of Ta oxide is formed on the surface of a glass substrate 10, a wiring layer 12 and a metal-insulator- metal(MIM) element connected to the layer 12 are formed on the layer 11 and the MIM element is connected to a transparent electrode 16. The electrode 16 is formed on an aperture part 11a formed by removing or thinning the layer 11. The edge part of the aperture part 11a is formed so as to be arranged on the slightly inside of the outer edge of the electrode 16.</p>
