<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a characteristic of an original image into an image after reduction. SOLUTION: First, four pixel areas in an original image are selected. Then whether an upper left pixel value (corresponding to the upper left direction of a displayed image), an upper right pixel value, a lower left pixel value, and a lower right pixel value values corresponding to each line of a line drawing are discriminated sequentially. When it is discriminated that any pixel value among the four selected pixels corresponds to a line of a line drawing, the pixel of a reduced image corresponding to the four pixels of the original image is set to the value of the line of the line drawing, and when it is not, the pixel value of a reduced image is set to a value corresponding to an area, without the line of the line drawing.</p> |
