PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform a remote measurement by taking out a change amount of a change surface represented by a water level by a taking-out means, directing a laser beam to a reflector indicating the surface, and calculating data obtained by a detector. SOLUTION: A taking-out means 10 removes a motion generated at a change surface 11 such as a liquid level, and takes out a change amount in a vertical direction. A well having a communicating structure is its example. A reflector 15 is placed on the surface 11 so that a laser beam B effectively captures the surface 11 and reflects thereon. As the reflector 15, a form of floating the water surface is suitable. A laser rangefinder 20 which directs the beam B to the reflector 15, captures the reflected beam from the reflector 15 and calculates a distance up to the reflector 15. Data detected by a detector of the rangefinder 20 is converted into a water head level by processing it by a signal converter. In the measurement of the head level changing due to a rainfall, the beam B may be emitted toward the reflector 15 vertically movable in response to the change of the surface 11. |
