<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display which is formed with tapers at signal lines in spite of extremely simple stages by providing the device with signal lines formed with laminated films composed of alloy films consisting of Cr or essentially consisting of this Cr and ITO films. SOLUTION: Video signal lines, drain electrodes 3D and source electrodes 3S comprise the laminated films formed by successively laminating the alloy films 3b of the Cr and Mo and ITO films 3b. In such a case, the video signal lines, drain electrodes 3D and source electrodes 3S may be formed with the prescribed patterns merely by using an etchant for the alloy film 3b of the Cr and Mo as the etchant. Namely, there is no need for respectively successively using the etchant for the ITO films 3b and the respective etchants for the alloy films 3b of the Cr and the Mo. Since the selective etching of the laminated films is executed while the ITO films 3b retreat, the breakage in the difference- in-level parts of pixel electrodes 8 riding over the source electrodes 3D consisting of the laminated films via protective films 7 may be prevented.</p> |
