<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up a transport track and at the some time to improve the accuracy of stopping it. SOLUTION: A primary coils 25 of linear induction motors 23 are provided over the traveling range of transport tracks 6, 6a on rail-supporting bases 16a, 16b which are located below rails 17a and 18a at one side of the rails 17a, 17b and 18a, 18b, on which the transport tracks 6, 6a are placed in such a way as to travel freely. ON the other hand, reaction plates 26, constituting the secondary side of the linear induction motor 23, are arranged in each position corresponding to the primary coils 25 on both the front and rear ends of one side of the transport track 6, 6a. The primary coils 25 and the reaction plates of the secondary side are made to face each other with a small gap. By causing an AC current to flow in the primary coils 25 and making them generate progressive magnetic field in the traveling direction of the transport tracks 6, 6a, thrust is generated on the reaction plates 26, so that the transport tracks 6, 6a can travel.</p> |
