A light-protective active agent combination comprises tris-(2-ethylhexyl) 4,4',4"-tris-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl)-tris-benzoate (I) and one or more etherified or esterified (poly)ethylene glycol or (poly)glycerol derivative surfactants of formula AO-(CHR1-X-CHR2-O)a-A' (II). A,A' = saturated or unsaturated alkyl, acyl or hydroxyacyl residue having 10-30C; or a (poly)esterified hydroxyacyl group of formula -CO-R"-CHR'-(O-CO-R"-CHR')b-O-CO-R"-CHR'-OH (i); R' = 1-20C alkyl; R" = 1-20C alkylene; b = 0-200; a = 1-100 (preferably 2-60, especially 5-400; X = direct bond or -CH(OR3)-; R1,R2 = H or Me; R3 = H; or saturated or unsaturated alkyl or acyl having 1-20C. Also claimed is the use of (II) as solvent, dissolution promoter or solubiliser for (II), especially in light-protective compositions. N.B. In the specification, the terminal -CO-R"- grouping in (i) is replaced by -O-CO-R"- which would make (II) a peroxide.
