Emergency escape chute from high level for use between the exit from an aircraft and the ground

The chute is mounted near a door and unfolded by hand or automatically by compressed air after opening the door. It comprises two inflated outer hoses forming supporting beams and joined together by the chute proper, preferably also inflated. Inside the main hoses (4, 5) are joint chambers (7) at predetermined intervals, and which are inflated separately from them and the chute proper. At these chambers, the chute is divided into segments by hinges (10) running between the hoses. By cutting the joint chambers in and out of use the chute can be shaped into a curve, by varying the angles included between adjacent segments.
