<p>A folding hanger apparatus particularly useful in luggage has two central portions (44, 45) which are hinged together (54) to pivot between an open position and a closed position, and a hook portion having a hinged connection (62) to one of the central portions (44). The hook pivots to a position pressed against clothing (32) to prevent the clothing from sliding off the folded hanger which may be hung on a luggage trolley system (38). When the hanger is in the unfolded position, the hook portion can be pivoted to an extended position to be used to hang the hanger from a conventional closet rod. A pant loop (70) is provided to permit pants (33) and other garments to be suspended from the bottom of the hanger. The pant loop is movable from side to side to permit the loaded hanger to balance when in the unfolded position, and to permit the hanger to pivot to the folded position.</p> |
