Each tooth (D) of the belt has a flat surface (2) extending between a first and a second curved surface (4,6). Both surfaces have a radius of curvature (R), which is larger by 50-100% than the pitch (P) of the belt (C). The centre of these radii is positioned on the neutral axis (N) of the belt in a higher position relative to the tooth, than the neutral analytical axis (NA) of the belt, e.g. 0.01-0.03 times the belt pitch.
