The device comprises preferably a cylindrical rolling body (4) rotatable on spindle (2), having a flexibly deformable outer padding (6) and inner mounting base (5) carrying said padding (6), as well as containing handles (3) being in the continuation of the spindle (2) and buffer elements (10) inhibiting the move of the mounting base (5) from the spindle (2) into side direction. The device is characterized by having a spindle (2) and handles (3) being constructed at least in the environment of the meeting of said spindle (2) and handles (3) as a rod (1) of unweakened cross section. The mounting base (5) contains two parts (5a, 5b) joined to each other at the mounting. The buffer element(s) (10) are placed within the mounting base (5). According to the process rotatable mounting base (5) is connected to the part of rod (1) constituting spindle (2), onto mounting base (5) flexibly deformable padding (6) is applied. The essential feature of the process is that from the direction of handles (3) the parts (5a, 5b) of mounting base (5) are led upon the spindle (2), said parts are joined to each other and thereafter the padding (6) is applied to the mounting base (5).
