Filter assembly for esp. molten fluid

A filter assembly for a molten fluid consists of a temperature-controlled vessel containing a smaller filter basket with a gap between the basket and vessel. The vessel receives incoming molten fluid through an overhead fluid inlet pipe, and discharges the filtered molten fluid through an outlet. The novelty is that: (a) the inlet is coaxial with the open sieve (10, 10a); and (b) the outlet (8, 8a) is positioned radially on the vessel wall (11, 12, 13; 11a, 12a, 13a).
