Wheel and tyre assembly

A wheel assembly includes a tire having a bead seat angle in the range 10 DEG to 12 DEG , preferably 11 DEG , and an aspect ratio of less than 60%. Such wheel assembly results in reduced bounce and improved bead retention. The wheel assembly further includes a rim having a bead support portion terminating in a radially outwardly projecting flange. The flange is curved and supports the sidewall of the tire in flexure to reduce rolling of the bead seat.
