An implement for displacing crop lying on the soil, comprising at least one rake member (3) which is rotatable about an axis of rotation (4), which rake member is provided with a number of rake tines (7) which are fitted to mounting units (8) that extend outwardly relative to the axis of rotation (4) and are disposed, at their ends located nearest to the axis of rotation, on a carrier element pertaining to the rake member, said implement comprising control means (9) with the aid of which the tines are brought from a high position into a low position and vice versa, the control means (9) being designed in such a manner that the rake tines are moved by the control means (9) towards the ground, are subsequently moved by the control means (9) located at the front side of the rake member at least substantially parallel to the ground across a segment of their curved path, while exercising their rake function, and are subsequently moved upwards by the control means (9) for the purpose of throwing away the crop. |
